Zakłady Przemysłu Cukierniczego Mieszko S.A. is the manufacturer
of sweets, with a history of several years and a widely-recognized brand.
From the beginning the company has specialized in the production of chocolate goods and hard candy, whereas from 2000, in connection with the acquisition of Walter Cooperative, the range of products was extended with confectionery.
The turning point was 2011 when Mieszko acquired TB Investica – a Lithuanian company, thus becoming the owner of Vilniaus Pergale.
In July 2011 the company, already as Mieszko Group, signed the contract of purchase of Lider Artur company, which enabled it to enter a new market category.
In July 2011 Mieszko purchased 100% of the shares of Lider Artur.
Lider Artur sp. z o.o is a producer of a wide range of cookies such as biscuits, cream-filled biscuits, gingerbread or crackers. The company owns a modern sweets factory in Radzyń Podlaski.
The contract of purchase was an element of the long-term strategy of Mieszko Group and another step on the way to the position of a strong regional manufacturer of sweets. The purchase of Lider Artur company enabled Mieszko to make use of its own distribution and marketing potential, both in the Polish market and in Baltic countries.
The products of Lider Artur offer interesting options for further development and form a perfect complement to the portfolio of Mieszko Group.
In the second half of January 2011 Mieszko finally acquired TB Investicija – a Lithuanian company and the owner of the Vilniaus Pergale sweets factory.
Vilniaus Pergale is a leading manufacturer of sweets in Lithuania and in Baltic markets. Approx. 70 per cent of its produce is sold in Lithuania, while the remaining 30 per cent in the neighbouring markets. Vilniaus Pergale is a Lithuanian leading producer of many categories of sweets, including chocolate bars.
